YEAHH 1ST ENTRY

a whole bunch of nothing GONE

i accidentally deleted this sorry my yapping might be lost forever

てふてふ series - start

hi im gonna do constant project updates just like the good ol days. except this time most of my pictures will be terrible. because i'm lazy. might upload better pictures later though :P

my reason for using this song is a littleeee more personal than le ciel and the way inspiration hit me was a big loser moment. i read the lyrics for the first time last night and started crying. i blame my star projector. and identity issues i guess, but i'm sure the nebula on my ceiling did most of the damage.

since you can't read or make out Anything in that photo, i'll describe the key details here. in the top left is a doodle of a butterfly flying over the sea at night. it's a visual (based on the notes from this translation) for me to keep in mind as i design.

i jotted down a few flowers and foliage that i want to incorporate. from left to right: corkscrew willow branches, amaranth (unfading affection), white tulip (forgiveness, new beginnings), black (change) and white (purity, patience) bearded iris, white lily (purity, rebirth), hellebore (stress, anxiety), moonflower (impermanence - MY FAVORITE WORD!), anemone (forsaken), black rose (DEATH or eternal love), red spider lily (final goodbye), fir (time), and poppies (eternal sleep, imagination)!!

the last key sketches are roots and a nail. i don't feel like explaining but they're mentioned in the lyrics i swear.. i'm onto something trust me...
the rest are scribbles of silhouettes except they're really bad so they all look the same okay NEXT PAGE !

on the right page, i organized the elements listed above by verse. nothing detailed just a braindump. here's a list if you're interested:

  1. translucent butterfly, poppy, amaranth, moonflower, anemone
  2. fir, white bearded iris
  3. screw made of a sheet, butterfly in center, white tulip (pendulum), branches
  4. seed, spider lily or rose, clear roots, hellebore
  5. black bearded iris, moonflower, butterfly, nail
  6. white poppy, butterfly, screw, white tulip, falling petal, water, white lily, purple hyacinth or red spider lily for color, branches, hellebore (basically funeral flower overload)

like i said in my last entry (oops nvm i deleted it), i want to start working with wire again, so there won't be much clay in this project... maybe. OHHH I ALMOST FORGOT. lately i've been browsing ikebana blogs and the phaidon flower books (color theory + color guide. i will treasure these always) so this series of jewelry will incorporate more floral design concepts than my previous pieces. it's been a while since i've arranged flowers, but i will try my best!!!

project update #2

going to start off with something absolutely unrelated. is there a way to make a nickname out of ephemeralstar that isn't ugly... if you come up with one please lmk. i'm trying to use names other than rcy T_T

onto the project updates!!! yippeeee
in the attachments, you can find the eight sketches i was talking about in my feed. they're not exactly what i envisioned, but they're a great starting point so i went ahead and made a test piece already. thank god i did. i almost got stuck at the sketching stage. sadly i didn't come up with any new designs, but now i have a general idea of how each structure will work!! i'll draw up some diagrams in the next few weeks.

i didn't number my sketches, but hopefully you can tell which one i referenced. since i made its test piece already, i'll work on finalizing that design first. i'm pretty fond of it because it contains key elements that are present in most of the other designs + it has the simplest structure. it's a good base for me to experiment with!

i wanna make some slight (this might be an understatement) changes on my second try. i'll make the clear roots much thinner and slightly shorter. might make the screw a bit longer depending on how big i want the earring. i'll attach the tulip as a charm so it can swing freely, as opposed to binding it directly to the top wire. lastly, i neeeeeed to figure out how to properly make a butterfly... it's been 2-3 years since i last made one. my hands don't remember how to shape the wire at all X(

i know i say this about every project and never finish them, but i love this theme!!! super excited to start crafting!!!!

too lazy to add a fancy font,

mini jewelry supply haul

went to a gem and jewelry show yesterday!!! it was super cool, 10/10 will definitely go next year too. first two files picture the tool set i got. the handles are purple and glittery!!! was super excited about the reamer. (can u tell i've never used a reamer...)

the third file pictures spools of colored wire. i chose black and hot pink, and my sister picked out the navy(?) blue. it's pretty hard to find colored wire in different gauges at local stores, but the vendor had a ton of pretty colors and sizes :O
i'm a little sad i didn't buy more, but i saved their business card! i'll save up some money to shop online. gonna work with the ones i have asap!!!

last file pictures the findings i got from a shop that specializes in silver jewelry supplies. the gem studs are so cute! the bag i got came with two sets and i plan to add roses to one of them. my sister picked out the square frames. she told me i should put something inside, but i'm not sure what to make yet. if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know!

that's all i got from the show! sadly i didn't get any beads because i was about to pass out T_T (apparently 2 bites of breakfast + no water + big crowd = blurry vision and fatigue... my bad) there were a bajillion beads too :(
there was a bunch of pretty ready-made jewelry as well. i was eyeing this table full of customized watches. aaa i should've taken a business card. anyway, i think that's all i had to say. hopefully i won't nearly pass out next year!!

see u next time,

new supplies, new plans, and new interests

haiii it's been a while since my last message! this entry doesn't have a specific topic like the others (the next one will though! i'll do a quick review of my phone). just rambling here and there.

to start off, i couldn't craft for the past two weeks because i had family visiting. and i may or may not have the energy to make anything until thursday because i have to practice driving tomorrow (´∩`。) my ego says i'm confident, but my nerves tell me otherwise... i'm pretty bad at multitasking, so as a new driver i think my brain is overwhelmed. i hope i'll get used to driving soon! i'll try not to be afraid of practicing.

NEW SUPPLIES (again)

anywho, i mentioned crafting because i got new sticker books! i found them at kinokuniya and they were too cute not to buy. i attached pictures of the covers and a few of the sheets above. i wanted to scan both books entirely but i uh,, don't have a scanner. last time i checked, the bluetooth connection on my printer was acting weird, but maybe the scanner still works! i'll check another time.

BEFORE I FORGET: i'm still working on the belt rings! i colored the prototypes with resin and they turned out kinda ugly. next batch, i'll pre-color the clay instead. i'm using seed beads for studded belts and i got some rhinestones for buckles. i haven't used them yet, but the finished product looks super cool in my head. it looks super cool in your head too right... OH ALSO these will be made to order! that's all i have to say about the belt rings. back to the sticker thing :P

i plan to use the stickers in lockets and resin frames... mostly keychains since they're pretty big. along with simple shapes like hearts and squares, i want to try making mini flip phones and notebooks!! the flip phone will be similar to the digital fish tank charms - a clay base with a decorated "wallpaper" of stickers and glitter. i don't want to buy more supplies, so i was thinking of using jump rings in place of a hinge. kinda like a spiral book. while typing this, i realized i could try to make a hinge out of clay. that'll take some experimenting. speaking of experimenting, i'll attempt to make some of these into shaker charms!!! i've never made a shaker charm before, but it looks really fun. as for the notebook, i'm thinking about making a clay cover combined with paper pages. i recently became interested in bookbinding, so i'm excited to play around with that.

NEW PLANS (yes... again)

and this leads us to future aejipang plans (hooray !!!). if you don't know what aejipang is, it's just my business... social.... artist handle thing. we have a complicated relationship. by the way, how do you pronounce aejipang in your head? i've always been curious about this. not sure how other people read it, but i usually read it as "ay-jee-payng"(american pronunciation of pang, like "a sharp pang of guilt") or "ay-jee-paang" (like pong in ping pong). the second one is more accurate, but the first one is catchier T_T.

the plans. right. the plans. i started looking into bookbinding because i'd like to print a zine. i'm taking my art seriously for once!! i want to take my time photographing my future accessories and explaining the process in depth. initially, i wasn't interested in adding my older pieces but, as a separate zine, i think it'd be good practice along with the mini notebooks.

my future zine (pdf) will replace the nekoweb catalogue i currently have up. the site would be too much work to update, but the pdf would kill two birds with one stone! i hate that saying but i don't know a substitute! my nekoweb layout is super cute though, so i might turn it into a linktree sort of site.

also adding a payment option! i'll start taking orders through IG dms and accepting payment through zelle. kinda intimidates me, but it seems to be the main order system for the artists i follow. for those who don't have IG, my ko-fi will still be up! :D

NEW INTERESTS

✿ i started listening to tommy february6 last week. obsessed. i only knew about her because she would pop up on my twitter or pinterest sometimes. i'll try to listen to the rest of kawase's discography later ^_^

✿ a few months ago i might've mentioned that i want to practice violin again (it was probably in the deleted entry help). i used to play classical western music so i think it would be fun to learn the arabic violin and maqamat. i want to study as much as i can before school starts again!

✿ when i got back from my trip, i didn't have the energy or inspiration to update this site. i finally thought of a page that might be fun! for me, at least. i'll add a "garden" to silly street. it'll link to another page full of whatever flower info i find interesting :) the layout will most likely be simple.

i Think i'm done talking,

review of the kyocera DIGNO 3 902kc (it's just me yapping)

before starting! if you're interested in this phone, i recommend MCDiamond9 and FitAd1732's reviews for more details :)

---

i've been using this phone for about five months now. my carrier is t-mobile and i live in the southwest of the US. so far, i haven't had any problems with calls! i use my phone for the bare minimum. my most used apps are the calendar, auxio, and the notepad. the only sideloaded apps i have are google messages and f-droid. from there, i downloaded mull for web browsing and auxio for organizing my music library.

more on apps: the first month, i downloaded other apps like fairemail, key mapper, and a few f-droid games to try. key mapper wasn't really helpful for me and the rest were barely used, so i ended up deleting them. the built-in browser and mail app aren't bad, but like a lot of other reviews said, the non-threaded messages take getting used to. i didn't have a problem with it until i remembered that people would have to send pictures through email. seemed like a hassle for the people i talk to, so i just switched to google messages. also, it always took me a second to realize that my family was texting in the group chat, since i received the messages individually T_T. as for other built-in apps, a handful of them only work in Japan. from what i remember, the weather, tv, and navigation apps don't really work.

typing!!! i've seen a few reviews talk about the keyboard or predictive text being difficult to work with. so far, i'm fine with the keyboard as it is and i found it easier to type with predictive text off. i think the only key that gives me a hard time is the back button. in apps intended for touchscreen, like mull and auxio (when i label playlists), the backspace will take me to the last PAGE instead of the last letter. these things are easy to get around though.

kind of an underwhelming thing to say, but the alarms and ringtones are so fun!! i like to change them every now and then. for a while, i used the piano type of alarms to wake up feeling fancy... unfortunately that stopped waking me up once i started sleeping late.

i almost forgot about the camera. if you've seen me post any Long pictures, it was probably taken with this camera. if my file name looks something like 'KIMG####' it's definitely from this. sometimes i prefer to use my phone over the finepix j38. it's been a while since i've taken pictures though, so i forgot why oops. the phone doesn't have a front camera, so if you plan to take a lot of selfies you should probably get something else ^^;
there are three options for camera quality: photo (8M pixel), high (6M pixel), and wallpaper (0.4M pixel). video qualities are 480p and 720p. image correction options include HDR and image stabilization. lastly, you can scan QR codes! very helpful when i'm surprised by a QR menu restaurant -_-...

I THINK THIS IS THE LAST THING I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT idk i didn't really plan what i was gonna review. bluetooth works great for me. for the most part, i only connect my phone to my headphones, so the bluetooth on/off shortcut on the # key is a very nice feature. i don't think i have a shortcut for settings, so i have to go through like four screens to change devices.

i probably forgot to say a million other things!

EDIT: ALMOST FORGOT. STICKERS ARE FROM MOGURRT ON IG!! IF U LIKE CUTE STICKERS GO SUPPORT!!!

EDIT 2: i forgot that i wanted to talk about my screentime (my main reason for switching from a note 8 to this). my screentime is probably 30 minutes at most. if i'm reading something online, maybe an hour. some days i don't touch my phone at all and it just sits on my bed or kitchen counter. i mainly go on my phone to jot down a note or click a song, and then shut it closed. i think it's super fun!

my laptop is a different story, but i don't mind it for now. my laptop screentime is an average of 3 hours (i just checked and honestly i thought it would be worse). about 5 if i'm watching drama or coding. i use my laptop for everything (school, entertainment, banking, social media, etc.) and i'm pretty content with it. i heart my laptop!!! my screentime here probably go down once i start school. staring at a screen for school will make me chase after my physical hobbies for sure.

gootbye,

SHOP UPDATE SOONNN(ish)

i'm almost ready to update my shop!! just have to add details to a few of the charms, then this batch will be ready for glazing ^_^
if i'm feeling inspired, i might make a second batch with different designs. i really like how the sticker keychains are turning out, so possibly more of those!

as of now, the update will include 3 keychains, 2 phone charms, 1 necklace, 1 hair clip, and 4 belt ring designs (rings are made to order). i'll also put my old pieces back up like the tefutefu earrings, cooking mama keychain, and the apple keychain bundle.

before i dive into the new stuff, here are pictures of the older pieces that will be available! :

what's new? i plan to finish this batch today!! here's a list of things i need to do:

  1. add backgrounds to sticker things; i'll cut and laminate some fun scrapbook paper :)
  2. decorate sticker things with more stickers!!! and lots of glitter!!!!
  3. add "studs" (i'm using seed beads) to black belt rings. one will be checkered black/pink, the other will look like piano keys!
  4. make pink wire hibiscus for the heart charm
  5. glaze all the charms with uv resin
  6. attach findings, then i'm all done!!
  7. just kidding i still need to take pictures and design the zine pages and set up my ig and price the charms and make the ko-fi listings oughhh

picture time

sooo sleepy

HIII long time no see... lately i've been busy taking pictures of my jewelry and editing ig posts x_x one of them is attached above. i went on ig last night for editing inspiration and now i kinda hate my pictures. i keep going on canva without any style in mind, so the result ends up looking messy T_T i'll try to take my time planning the overall look after i finish writing this.

i pulled an all nighter today and then took a 4 hour nap so my head is spinning and i can't remember what i was going to talk about wait. ZINE. i have a few more pictures to photoshop before i start on my zine. i'm so excited that aejipang is pulling itself back together!! the other day i turned an old carrd into my business carrd (again...), since i can't post on stories. last things left for me to do is picture stuff, pricing, and fixing my ko-fi descriptions. and posting i guess. i plan to have my drop next friday. if that doesn't work out, you guys will be the first to know!

in other news, i'm trying out a new-ish routine. i'm just copying the bell schedule from one of my old schools and so far i really like it! i start my day at 7AM and my tasks are split into four "periods", each of them about 90 minutes. there are three short breaks: breakfast, lunch, and 30 minutes of reading. wait i forgot i added one more period. i added a fifth because my bell schedule used to end at 2:10, but my niece doesn't get out of school until 3:40 and part of my schedule revolves around hers. the rest of my day is for whatever else i want to do. if i didn't stay up all night i think this would've worked out great. i fell asleep around 11AM, but i got most things done :]

aaa i'm still gonna wait to update silly street. lots of things need to be changed in the information dump. for example, i finished sam & max save the world!!! yippeeee!!!! and i'm almost done with beyond time and space ep 1. also, i recently decided that i want to try playing visual novels. if you have any romance recommendations let me know!! ^^

i think that's it.

WAIT ONE MORE THING. i have to go to school part time instead of full this year and i'm a little scared. i need to practice driving more often and i need to start applying for jobs. i never had a high school job so i feel a bit embarassed for having nothing to put on my resume at my age... help there's also the fact that i haven't interacted with anyone except my family for like a year but whatever!!! i'll try to stay optimistic. in the meantime i'm trying to find some volunteer opportunities.

NOW THAT'S IT :D

BYE,
rcy
